Dream Decor & Events - September 2026

September has always been a special month for me because it’s my birthday month. 🎂 And this year, it feels especially fitting that I’m entering another year of life while Dream Decor & Events is entering a new chapter of its own.

If you’ve been following us on Instagram, you may have noticed a small change in our bio recently.

Dream Decor & Events is officially transitioning to a Grab & Go décor model.

It may look like a simple change on the outside, but behind the scenes, this was a very big decision for me.

A Little Bit About the “Why” 🤎

I usually like to keep my personal and business life separate, but I also think it’s nice to occasionally know the person behind the balloons, backdrops and pretty pictures.

With a new addition to our family and young children at home, I started thinking seriously about what I wanted the next season of Dream Decor to look like.

Full service decorating involves so much more than the setup you see in the finished photo. There’s so much prep work behind the scenes, there’s loading everything, driving to the venue, setting up, coming home, and then heading back out after the celebration to take everything down and collect the rentals.

Some nights, I wasn't getting home until 11 PM.

There were even a few times when circumstances meant we had to bring the kids along for setups or late night pickups. Eventually, I found myself thinking: This just isn't fair to them.

I love this business. I love creating. I love seeing an idea turn into a beautiful celebration.

I just needed to find a different way to do it.

Then Came a Leap of Faith

The day I decided to change the business model, I really didn't know whether it would work.

Would people actually want to pick up their décor?

Would they be comfortable setting it up themselves?

Would clients still see the value in what Dream Decor offered?

I had plenty of questions and definitely didn't have all the answers.

But I decided to take a leap of faith.

That night, I started changing the website. One page became another page, which became another little change, and before I knew it...

it was 4:00 in the morning.

But underneath the exhaustion was excitement because I could finally see what this new version of Dream Decor could become.

So, What Exactly Is Grab & Go?

This is the part I'm most excited about.

Grab & Go doesn't mean you're on your own.

We still design and coordinate the look. Your balloons are already inflated. Your backdrop, covers, signs, pedestals and coordinating décor are prepared for you. We'll show you how the pieces go together and help you get everything safely loaded.

Then you take your décor with you and create the setup at your celebration.

Our designs are intentionally planned so they can fit in an SUV and be manageable for clients to assemble themselves.

You can pick everything up the day before your event, enjoy your celebration, and return the rental pieces the day after.

No inflating hundreds of balloons.

No trying to figure out which colors look good together.

No buying a backdrop you're probably never going to use again.

And no paying the price of a full-service installation.

It's a way to get that beautiful, professionally coordinated party look while doing the final setup yourself.

And yes, you really can do it. ❤️

Something I Didn't Expect...

One of my biggest worries was how clients would respond.

Instead, I've been incredibly grateful.

I've had returning clients willing to try the new model and completely new clients book with us, too. Every pickup, every finished setup and every person who trusted this new process has reassured me that maybe this crazy little idea I stayed up until 4 AM working on wasn't so crazy after all.

More than anything, I'm thankful to God for continuing to guide me through this business and this season of change.

And I'm incredibly thankful to my clients. ♥️

You've allowed me to continue doing something I genuinely enjoy while creating a business model that works better for my family.

That means more to me than you probably realize.

A New Year for Me & A New Chapter for Dream Decor ✨

Birthdays have a funny way of making us reflect.

This September, I'm reminded that growth doesn't always mean doing more. Sometimes growth means being willing to change the way you've always done something.

Dream Decor is still about the same thing it has always been about: helping you create beautiful celebrations and memorable moments.

We're just doing it a little differently now.

I'll create and prepare the décor.

You pick it up, make it yours, and celebrate. 🎈

And maybe the best part is knowing that while you're creating memories with your family, this new chapter allows me to be home creating more of them with mine, too.

So here's to birthdays, new beginnings, scary leaps of faith, 4 AM website updates, and discovering that sometimes a change you were nervous to make can become exactly what you needed.
